TOBA-PT Aqua Farm Nusantara (PT AFN) has conducted COVID-19 socialization to communities last week and it becomes the first company to do the program at Ajibata Sub-district, Toba Regency.
The statement was made by Head of Public Health Center of Ajibata Dr. Palmina Sihombing when delivering socialization session Pardomoan and Pardamean villages, Ajibata Sub-district, Toba Regency, Friday ( 30/10/2020 )
“We very much appreciate the efforts taken by PT Aqua Farm Nusantara in conducting socialization on the prevention of COVID-19 spread at Ajibata sub-district. This is the first company to do COVID-19 socialization in Ajibata sub-district area and was done in partnership with Public Health Center, ” said Dr Palmina Sihombing.
The COVID-19 socialization by PTAN was also being appreciated by Tambatua Sirait, Head of Pardomuan Village and Irma Sirait, Head of Pardamean Village.
“We truly appreciate and are thankful for COVID-19 socialization session conducted by PT Aqua Farm Nusantara at our village, ” said Irma Sirait, Head of Pardamean Village.
COVID-19 socialization at Pardomoan and P Pardameanvillages, Ajibata sub-district, Toba Regency was part of PT Aqua Farm Nusantara KAMI PEDULI Sustainability Programs.
“We carried out this event in partnership with Ajibata sub-district Public Health Center and villages governments with 80 participants, ” said Dian Octavia, Corporate & Community Affairs Senior Manager PT Aqua Farm Nusantara.
The participants of the socialization event were Public Health Center staff, village heads, Ajibata sub-district officials, village consultative body, health cadres, Integrated Health Post, infant cadres, youth, sub-village heads and communities.
The socialization carrying a theme of COVID-19 Danger and Prevention was delivered interactively using songs. The session was also filled with correct hand washing demonstration and mask distribution.
“The health and safety of our employees and local communities are our priorities. We work with local governments to socialize COVID-19 to the communities who live around our company facilities in Serdang Bedagai and Toba regencies, ” said Dian
Previously as part of KAMI PEDULI Communities for COVID-19, PTAN has distributed face masks, hand washing soaps, disinfecting agents, portable hand washing station, health equipment and education materials to local communities and Public Health Centers to help reduce the spread of coronavirus.
